Wednesday Eucharists are at St. Mark’s in October, 10:00.

Prayer Book Evensong is led by the Cantate Singers (previously known as the Junior Choir) on the first Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m.

Centering Prayer is held on Thursdays,  3.00 in the mezzanine

Green Wood Coalition Dinner St. Mark’s will be providing the food for the on Wednesday, November 6th. The menu this time will be beef or chicken stew, mashed potatoes, vegetables, salads and desserts. If you can provide food for this dinner, please sign-up on the sheet at the back of the church. Food should be delivered to St. John’s Parish Hall by 5:45 p.m. on November 6.

Looking for more singers.  Our adult choir would welcome a tenor and a bass (or two or three!). If you know of someone who might enjoy singing with us, please encourage them to consider joining. Randy Mills would be happy to contact anyone as well – just let him know!

Sunday Offerings – Please prayerfully consider replacing your Sunday envelopes with a monthly pre-authorized donation to support St. Mark’s and its ministries.

Doctrine of Discovery       Learning together about it and its effect on the Indigenous people and their land is important to our understanding of, and move to, reconciliation. St. Mark’s will host three of the four sessions in the series starting on Saturday morning, October 26th.We will start with the documentary film, “Stolen Lands, Strong Hearts” and continue with facilitated small groups and speakers.

AURA Ride For Refuge  AURA, The Anglican United Refugee Alliance, is holding its annual appeal Ride For Refuge this month. Christians are called to welcome the stranger. AURA has been inspiring and supporting Church based refugee sponsorship groups since 1985. St. Mark’s had direct experience with AURA when The River of Hope group sponsored a Syrian family who have successfully settled in Cobourg. We couldn’t have done it without AURA! Parishioners are invited to support AURA with a donation to the Church with AURA on the memo line any time in October.

FOOD BANK DONATIONS: Thank you to all who give regularly and place non-perishable items in the basket inside the church entrance. CONDIMENTS (Mustard, ketchup, etc.) & JAMS are wanted!
