St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Port Hope

The Presentation of the Lord      2 February 2020

Today is the Feast of The Presentation of the Lord. It is also called Candlemas, as it was the day on which traditionally, church candles to be used for the year were blessed. It is also the last day of the Christmas cycle of holy days, hence the crèche figures by the font.

The flowers are given to the Glory of God and in memory of Bennett Fair, Phyllis Fair, Sharon Fair and Ruby and Clarence Hanna, by Bob Fair.

Service Music: We are using new service music today. Find the music and words to the Sanctus and Agnus Dei printed on the insert in your bulletin. Next week we’ll include the Gloria. My intention is that there will a setting for Advent and Lent, and two for the rest of the year. RM+

Anointing for Healing will be available next Sunday, Feb. 9, at both services.
