Morning Prayer: Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 in the rectory.

Centering Prayer: Thursday at 3.00 in the mezzanine.

Wednesday Eucharist in November is at St. John’s, Pine St., at 10 a.m.

Next Eucharist & Potluck–Wednesday, November 14. Eucharist at 5.15 pm followed by supper.

The Flowers this week are given to the Glory of God and in memory of Geoff and Prue Dale, and Barbara Hughes, Harold and Lucy Coode, Gordon and Helen Dale, Bob and Mary Dale by the family.
Five Minutes Monthly meets today in the library following the 10.30 eucharist.

Evensong
will be led by our choirgirls this Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 4:30 p.m.

Halloween Thank You–Thank you to all who helped make our third Halloween at St. Mark’s a wonderful evening.

Diocesan Synod will be held on Friday and Saturday this week. Fr. Randy will be away from the parish on Nov. 9-10.

Hollyberry Bazaar–Thank you to all who participated in the success of yesterday’s Hollyberry Bazaar.

N.B. Access to the Parish Hall driveway will be denied for a week or two beginning Monday, Nov. 5, to
allow upgrades to the sidewalk and ramp by the Town.

A Farewell Celebration for Archbishop Johnson will be held at St. Martin’s, Bay Ridges, on November 11 from 2:00-4:00 PM. All are warmly invited to attend.

Green Wood Coalition dinner will be held this Wednesday, Nov. 7. Our menu will be meat loaf, potatoes/rice, vegetables, salads and dessert. If you are able to contribute food for the dinner please sign the notice on the board at the back of the church.

Legacy Planning Workshop–Durham-Northumberland Deanery is hosting a
legacy planning workshop to provide an opportunity to begin to think about death from a Christian perspective; and in an intentional way consider how our affairs will be settled. The workshop will include informative presentations about powers of attorney, funeral planning, funeral liturgy, wills and legacy giving. All are welcome.

Time: 10 am – 12 noon
Location: St. John’s, Port Hope (33 Pine St. N).

Sunday Refreshments, November and December need help! A sign-up sheet for providing refreshments after the 10:30 am service is posted on the bulletin board.

The Giving Tree This is the 30th season for The Giving Tree. It is a very successful community project of volunteers in partnership with Salvation Army (who provide food and children’s names) and 20 agencies within Northumberland County. St. Marker’s have been enthusiastic and generous supporters. You can help by joining a small team to co-ordinate our participation again this Christmas. Preparations are in full gear for our 18th annual Christmas at St. Mark’s Artists and Artisans Exhibition and Sale on Saturday November 24 (9:30 am – 2:30 pm). We need 15-20 volunteers for tasks on Friday and Saturday. Every help of an hour makes this easy for
parish, your help is appreciated. Please sign up on the lists posted at the back of the church.

Christmas Market: St. John’s Church 33 Pine St. Sat. Nov.10, 10 am to 2 pm. Christmas lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. We have great gifts for everyone!

David Brooks has put his usual excellent Remembrance Day display in the two display cases at the back of the church. The display case in the lobby of the Parish Hall has the names and short biographies of those who served in the First World War, and in a binder on the top of the case are names and biographical sketches of Second World War veterans.”
