Five Minutes Monthly-– Readings are available TODAY for next Sunday’s meeting (Dec. 9). Pick up your copies on the shelf at the rear of the church today.

Lucia Girl Wanted–We’re looking for a volunteer to wear a crown of candles and walk up the aisle to the strains of Santa Lucia at our Eucharist and Potluck on Lucia Day, December 12, at 5.15 pm. Speak to Randy+ or Randy Mills.

Eucharist & Pot Luck— Wednesday, December 12 at 5.15, supper following. Sign up today at the back of the church.

The Flowers this week are given to the Glory of God and in memory of parents Jessie and William Walkingshaw and Audrey and James Latham by Jill and Frank Walkingshaw.

Today Dec. 2, 4pm at St Mark’s – Lessons and Carols for Advent by our own choirs. Please invite friends to come and enjoy this lovely music for Advent. All attending are welcome at the Rectory following the service for a reception hosted by Fr Randy, with wine and goodies from the choir.

CEFTI (The Graham & Evelyn Cotter Endowment for the Incumbency) now has charitable status and we can accept funds for this endowment! Any donation made will be matched by the generosity of an anonymous donor on a two for one basis. For instance, if a donation of $1000 is made then the anonymous donor will contribute $2000, resulting in a $3000 overall donation. – Les Robling

The Giving Tree  St. Mark’s is taking a new approach to our annual support of The Giving Tree. You will find in the pews a special offering envelope. We ask you to please prayerfully consider helping the Salvation Army and 20 community agencies within Northumberland County by giving a monetary donation towards the purchase of food and toys. If donating by cheque please make payable to St. Mark’s, with “The Giving Tree” on the memo line.Our deadline for receiving donations is Sunday Dec. 9th.

The winner of the Christmas at St. Mark’s artisan gift basket is Leigh Jiggins of Port Hope. Leigh has attended this event many times and is pleased to have won after having bought many tickets in the past.

Tuesday, Tea, and Theology Led by Fr. Patrick, the next meeting will be on Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. We are reading C. S. Lewis, Surprised by Joy
