Meet our Organist – Randy Mills

 Randy was born and raised in London, Ontario and his first organ lessons were with the late Mr. William Wickett, from Port Hope. At University of Western Ontario , Randy had several years of study with Dr. John S. McIntosh. In his first year Randy was fortunate to study with Dr. Peter Hurford, then at St. Alban’s Abbey, UK, while he replaced Dr. McIntosh during a sabbatical. While studying at Concordia Lutheran University, River Forest-Chicago Randy had the great privilege to study with leading figures in Church Music – the composer Richard Hillert and the noted hymnologist Carl Schalk being the most distinguished.After student jobs in several London churches, Randy had full appointments in other churches in Ontario, experiencing a variety of denominations. September 1993 saw Randy move to Cobourg and within a few months he was working with choirs and handbell ensembles at Trinity College School, Port Hope.

Randy comes to St. Mark’s from St. Augustine’s RC Seminary in Toronto, where he was Director of Music for the past seven years while continuing his involvement with TCS.

 We welcome Randy to the organ bench at St. Mark’s and we wish him many happy and fulfilling years with us.

Randy Mills
