Sunday Refreshments: A sign-up sheet for providing refreshments after the 10:30 am service is posted on the bulletin board. Please consider providing a snack for this social time – we’ll make the coffee! July and August Sundays need your help!
European Choirs at St Mark’s
Wed. July 11, 7pm – 24 women and men from Christ’ College Chapel Choir, Cambridge University UK
Admission $25 at the door ($20 students/seniors)
Thurs. July 12, 7pm – 45 boys from Les Petits Chanteurs de Bordeaux, France
Free admission – collection will be taken for the choir.
We will feed our visiting choirs both evenings (French Choir has 63 Singers and chaperones). Carol Poste is valiantly taking this on –please speak to her of Randy Mills if you can help with feeding our guests.
St. Mark’s Country BBQ at Steve Poste’s Property, Sunday, July 15, from 12 p.m. Excellent BBQ fare. Freewill donations. Proceeds to St.Mark’s Choir. Bring your lawn chair. Wear comfy shoes.
Thanks to Ellen Torrie and Elizabeth Barlow, and Randy Mills, accompianist for their gorgeous presentation of Music for Two Voices on Wednesday evening last. If you weren’t there, you missed a treat!! What amazing talent! We are so lucky they enjoy returning to sing for us!
Cinema St. Mark–Watch for a new series of three films in August 3, 10 & 17. Turnout was good this time round, with visitors from outside the parish.
Good News! There is a lot going on behind the scenes! The grease trap in the kitchen was cleaned for the first time in some years–now that was a sight!. The office computer is now a lot faster. All sorts of touch-up painting has been happening. The back of the Church has been reorganized. Recycling bins will soon appear. The new Labyrinth is growing in. We’re assessing the coffee machine! Thank you to all who have been involved in these off-camera items. What are your thoughts? Constructive suggestions and comments are welcome. Speak to a Warden. We will take your ideas under advisement.
